The National WWII Museum, Louisiana
Located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, the museum opened on June 6, 2000 to celebrate the 56th anniversary of D-Day. The main exhibit spaces include the U.S. Freedom Pavilion, The Boeing Center, the Louisiana Memorial Pavilion, the Kushner Restoration Pavilion and Special Exhibits. It focuses on the Battle of Normandy as well as the contributions made by the U.S. to the Allied victory in World War II, telling the story through a plethora of objects, documents and pictures.
