The second team from the China International Search and Rescue personnel has arrived in the flooded region of Pakistan. Doctors on the team successfully carried out surgery in their mobile hospital at a town in southern Pakistan.
In addition to aid and medical teams, China will also dispatch four military helicopters to Pakistan to assist with flood relief. It is the first time Chinese military helicopters have been sent overseas to perform such duties. The four military helicopters from the Xinjiang military area command will depart on Tuesday.
Disease and epidemics are the biggest danger in the shelters in Pakistan.
Hundreds of Pakistanis lined up outside the Chinese mobile diagnosis unit early Sunday morning.
The nurse found a familiar face among them. The patient had came four days ago and was found to have a small bump in the chest.
A patient in Thatta, Pakistan, said, "I come from Karachi. I have felt the pain in the chest for a long time."
The bump had developed into a large abscess in a short time and now occupied half of the patient's chest.
