| A farmer in China's Henan province held a funeral for his dairy cattle in protest of local corruption, Dahe.cn reported. The farmer said his town government withheld provincial subsidies that he needed to operate his business, and that his cattle starved to death as a result. |

| After several rounds of negotiations, the town government gave him back 300,000 yuan. Due to the incident, the man claimed the town government forced his dairy farm to shut down numerous times in the last ten years, resulting in the deaths of over 70 cattle and the deterioration of over 40 tons of milk. |
